Sergio Albeverio (born 17 January 1939)〔preface in Fritz Gesztesy et al (eds): ''Stochastic processes in physics and geometry – new interplays – volume in Honor of Sergio Albeverio'', CMS Conference Proceedings, Vol. 28, 2000〕 is a Swiss mathematician working in the field of differential equations and mathematical physics. He studied at the ETH Zurich where he also did his PhD in 1967 under the direction of Res Jost (and Markus Fierz).
